Penis Enlargement – Does Penis Size Matter?

Is a bigger penis always better? When most people hear such question they either immediately or eventually think about penis size, and a more direct question that many men and women want to know is, does the size of ones really matter?
The fact is that sometimes the size of the penis matters, sometimes it doesn’t. There are those of us that are unique when it comes to our personal tastes (affectionately known as size queens), but others are different. Some people might be happy driving a Tercel one day and an SUV the next day. Another fundamental information when it comes to whether penis size matters is to make sure we can agree on what the average penile size is.
Instead of relying on old sayings, fashion magazines, and hundreds of emails to your mailbox every day, let’s look at what research tells us whether the size of the penis matters?
Does penis size matter to women?
A survey of 556 women aged 19 to 49 participants asked whether penis length and girth really matter when it comes to having great satisfaction. The findings include:
* 18% said penis length was very important, 22% said penis girth was very important
* 57% said penis length was somewhat important, 53% said penis girth was somewhat important
* 25% said penis length was unimportant, 25% said penis girth was unimportant
A major shortcoming of this study was that it did not specify an optimal size. Thus, women who felt penis girth mattered may have different perceptions of what the ideal penis girth is. The assumption may be bigger is better, but this is not confirmed by this study.
Another study by Canadians, had women read erotic passages and evaluate them on the steaminess of passage. The only thing they changed was the size of the penis. Although some respondents did score the big penis to be hotter, the differences were not statistically significant. Indicating that in a fantasy world at least, bigger may not necessarily mean more arousing and size of the penis may not matter as much as other things.
Although there have been other studies that asked women about the importance of penis length and girth, and most report that where this is a preference, girth is reported as more important than length, there doesn’t seem to be any academic research that is indeed what the size is preferable. If there were such research we expect, of course, a great variability in size preferences.
Does penis size matter to men?
There is no doubt that men are concerned about penile size. Most men seem to think that penis size does matter, and many of them worry about the size of their penis at some point in their lives. There have been several studies have confirmed that the perception of men towards the male penis size is skewed:
* An internet survey of 52,031 heterosexual men and women revealed that while 85% of women were satisfied with the size of their partner’s penis, but only 55% of men were satisfied with their penis size.
* Several studies have asked men to evaluate the size of their penis, compared to “normal” and then have actually measured their penis size, have shown that most men underestimate the size of their penis, and overestimate what is the average penis size.
* Studies have also shown that men tend to compare penises in a manner that is likely to lead to a negative evaluation (for example, they compare flaccid penis to an erect penis).
* A study of men who were looking for penis enlargement surgery, found that most of the men had penises that were of average size, despite the belief that they had abnormally small penis.It seems that from the research we have, men think about penis size more than women. Which begs the question as to why the guys worry and talk about penis size so much?
One answer is that we are still stuck in this penis-centered idea of sex, where great sex exclusively comes from a man doing amazing things with his penis.
Recall, first, that many people have great sex without a penis involved at all! And beyond that most women do not orgasm from penetration at all, so most orgasms are not produced from a penis of any size. I think we still focus on penis size, because we still believe that a dick is the measure of a man. And this is the worst misconception of all.
