Foods That Can Increase Sexual Stamina

October 12, 2012
Some foods actually help to stimulate people’s sexual desires. We’ve all heard about aphrodisiacs to enhance sexual activity, but some foods can trigger responses within the brain and body, give you that funny feeling! Most everyone loves to eat, and what could be better than a home-cooked meal, a willing partner, and some R-rated foods!
Vitamins and some food ingredients and compounds can heighten intimacy and sexual awareness. Including some plant-based foods can help you to get rid of those extra pounds, and reintroduce a shapely body. Research shows losing just 10% of excess body fat can improve male and female sexual desire. Before you know it, you’ll be frolicking under the covers again.
Obesity brings extra baggage into the bedroom, limits flexibility and energy, which equates into minimal or decreased performance. Additionally, those excess pounds and inches can create negative thoughts in a partner’s mind. Self image and how we perceive ourselves greatly affects how you perform sexually. Sexual desires stem from our minds, and if the brain does not get stimulated, nothing else is going to be able to be achieved.
Believing you are sexually attractive and desirable is a key factor to attraction and sexual activity. Relationships need to include healthy sexual activities to survive and grow. Lack of, or declining intimacy increases a lack of interest in your partner and sexual activity. When the flames of passion become dying embers, many relationships go by the wayside and become past history.
Almonds and Asparagus
If you enjoy munching on nuts, try filling your snack bowl with almonds. Almonds have been known to increase passionate and stimulating feelings.
Asparagus is another power-packed stimulating food. Asparagus is loaded with selenium, zinc, and Vitamin E, all of which helps to increase libido and sexual desire.
Strawberries and Chocolate
Red is, naturally, a ‘power’ color, and red attire attracts more attention than pastel colors. Wearing red is a sure fire way to get noticed! Strawberries are an excellent source of folic acid, and have been suspected to increase sperm counts in men.
Chocolate has always been an aphrodisiac, and by promotes feelings similar to being in love! Dark chocolate is good for our hearts, supports cardiovascular system and helps it to run smoothly. Antioxidants are high in dark chocolate, and flavoroid qualities assist in relaxing blood pressure by producing nitric oxide to balance hormones within the body.
Valentine’s Day has always been about romance; and chocolate has always been symbolic. Whether or not it’s the ‘red devil’ in all of us, red is the color of love and chocolate adds to the spell we’re looking to cast.
Seafood Pearls
Oysters are promoted as aphrodisiacs and sexual stamina. Although, these shell encased, slimy and just plain ugly, morsels do not appeal to many, they are the best source of libido-producing zinc. Other seafood, such as wild salmon and herring are rich in omega3 fatty acids, and provide benefits to maintain healthy hearts.
Okay, there you have the scoop on treats from the sea. Close your eyes, open wide, and swallow one of these sexual pearls from the ocean.
Avocado
Many times, avocados are thought to be male-shaped fruits, and are also associated with male libido. Long ago, Aztecs called the avocado tree “Ahuacuati” or “testicle” tree because fruits hanging side by side on the tree seem to resemble testicles. Once, avocados were banned, in Spanish ancestry, because they perceived avocados to be obscene.
Banana
Besides the interesting shape of a banana, it is a complete meal in itself. Bananas are loaded with potassium, magnesium, B vitamins, and minerals, all of which, can boost a man’s libido.
Alcohol
It’s true that consuming a drink, or two, helps lower sexual inhibitions, and is often helps to alleviate timidness around strangers, and breakdown socializing difficulties or anxieties.
However, drinking excessively can produce the exact opposite effect! Drunken behavior or inappropriate sexual advances are not enjoyed by most. Alcohol abuse may stimulate sexual thoughts, however, they will be only that, ‘ thoughts!’ Alcohol can diminish sexual performance, and intimacy becomes a mute issue.
Now you know what to eat to start a raging fire in your relationship. Grab that shopping list and enjoy!
